Community 1st Credit Union Awards $8,700 Grant to Time for Tots

Community 1st Credit Union (C1st) is proud to announce a grant of $8,700 awarded to Time for Tots Inc., a licensed childcare center located in Harlan, Iowa, to support the replacement of an aging air conditioning unit. This grant, awarded through the C1st Foundation, will ensure that the center’s school-age summer program room remains cool and comfortable during the hot summer months.

Time for Tots Inc. provides a loving and nurturing environment for children, offering age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. The center serves over 60 families in the area and can accommodate up to 113 children. With a focus on providing quality care for working families, Time for Tots has become an essential resource in the community.

The daycare facility, now 30 years old, requires ongoing maintenance to keep it safe and comfortable for the children it serves. Last year, one air conditioning unit was successfully replaced, but another unit is now in critical need of replacement to maintain a comfortable environment for the children during the upcoming summer.
